Community Appreciation Day Saturday

October 16, 2013

The annual Community Appreciation Day put on by the Granbury Police Department (GPD) will be this Saturday at City Park just off of West Pearl Street.

The day will include bounce houses and other fun activities along with free food and drinks. It’s set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend the free activities to promote “an event where we all come together for one reason: Granbury,” according to a GPD news release.

Multiple booths will be set up. Among the groups scheduled to be there are the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Granbury Medical Center, Texas EMS, CareFlite, Air Evac, Granbury Fire Department, Kiwanis, Mission Granbury, Optimist Club, Hood County constables, Brazos River Authority, United Way, Hood County Fire Marshal’s Office, Ruth’s Place, Children’s Advocacy Center and the GPD Citizens Police Academy Alumni.
