Demolition has started on a portion of the Granbury Inn and Suites property where a new Aldi grocery store will open in the coming months. The four-acre property is at North Plaza Drive and Harbor Lakes Drive. Aldi officials say customers save up to 50 percent through a variety of cost-saving measures, such as the acceptance of only cash, debit or EBT (food stamp) cards that eliminate credit card processing fees. The store that will open in Granbury will be between 17,000 and 18,000 square feet, according to Community Development Director Scott Sopchak.
