AMUD voting today, 7-7

May 11, 2013

Voting is taking place from 7 to 7 today to determine three seats on the Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD) board.

All registered voters in Pecan Plantation are eligible to vote in the election, even though Johnson County accidentally omitted the “AMUD” designation on voter registration cards, according to Hood County Elections Administrator Crickett Miller.

A small portion of Pecan Plantation is in Johnson County.

There are three polls serving AMUD voting precincts 3, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 16. The polling locations are:

Lakeside Baptist, 500 W. Bluebonnet Dr. (Precincts 3 and 11);

Acton Baptist, 3500 Fall Creek Highway (Precincts 10, 13 and 14); and

Pecan Activity Center, 9145 Plantation Dr. (Precinct 16).

Candidates on the ballot are John Featherston, Allan Hall, John Tibbs, Ronald Cotton and Don Cleveland. Voters can select up to three names.
