Volunteers make a difference at numerous agencies and organizations across Hood County.
A Volunteer Recruitment Fair is planned today from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Hood County Senior Center, 501 E. Moore St.
The volunteer fair originally planned in April was cancelled due to bad weather.
“There are so many worthy organizations in our community that depend on volunteers on a daily basis. And without volunteers, many organizations would suffer,” said Megan Brock, of IntegraCare Hospice.
The fair will include representatives from area organizations who utilize volunteers. Learn about the services they provide to the community, and what a volunteer could do for their particular establishment.
Already, the following groups have committed to participate in the volunteer fair:
Granbury Police Department
Granbury Cheetas (Texas Special Olympics Team)
Meals on Wheels
Various United Way agencies
Texas Ramp Project
There is no charge to attend this event sponsored by IntegraCare Hospice.
If your organization is interested in reserving booth space, or would like any additional information, please contact Megan Brock of IntegraCare at 940-452-4828 or email her at [email protected]
All are welcome to attend this event to learn more about serving the community.
