The Smiths celebrate anniversary

The Smiths

George and Fern Smith of Granbury celebrated their 60th anniversary with a beautiful buffet with family and friends on Island Village Court in Granbury on July 7, 2012.

The celebration was hosted by their granddaughter Jessica Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and friend Steve Bone of Fort Smith, Ark.

George Smith and the former Fern Rose were married on July 12, 1952 at Oakley Baptist Church in Oakley, Calif.

George worked in the nuclear power industry in Oregon, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Texas, where he retired.

Their children are Randy Smith and Ken Smith, both of Granbury. The Allens also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
