The Cateses celebrate anniversary

Boyce A. and Darlene Cates of Granbury celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Boyce A. Cates and the former Cynthia Darlene Crouch were married on Nov. 23, 1962 at the Presbyterian Church in Alice.

Boyce grew up in Agua Dulce and is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He is a Vietnam veteran and earned a Silver Star, Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He is a retired airline pilot.

Darlene grew up in Alice and is a retired homemaker.

They have two children and three grandchildren.
