The Allens celebrate anniversary

Curtis and Glenda Allen of Granbury celebrated their 50th anniversary with a reception at Granbury First United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 21, 2012.

The celebration was hosted by their children, Corey Allen of Granbury and Brad Allen and wife, Jessica, of Fort Worth.

Curtis Allen of Clifton and the former Glenda Kemp of Meridian were married on July 20, 1962 at First Baptist Church in Meridian. They are both graduates of North Texas State University and retired from teaching at Granbury High School in 1999. Curtis was also a former basketball, football and golf coach. He is in his 46th year of teaching driver’s ed.

Grandchildren of the couple are Jaydin, Jayci and Kaylin Campbell of Fort Worth and Mason and Madi Allen of Malakoff.
