Baker, Hughes wed

Valerie Ann Baker of Tolar and Cord Wayne Hughes of Stephenville were united in marriage on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Paluxy Tabernacle in Paluxy.

Preachers Earl Baugh and Brad Fry officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mike Baker of Tolar and Nancy Baker of Tolar.

The groom is the son of Ricky and Texie Hughes of Stephenville. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Cox of Killeen and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Baugh of Stephenville.

Lori White, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Tiffany Wilson, Dede Grizzard, Hannah Danley and Veronica Brawley.

Gary Iley served as best man. Groomsmen were Colby Howell, Zane Harris, Cody Danley and Ronnie Brawley. Kenny Danley was the usher.

Sound was provided by Tim Spraggins. A quartet featuring Wes Ives, Lisa Ives, Laura Walker and Casey Keith entertained the guests. Reception servers were Melanie Warren, Ann Marie Burton and Courtney Waters.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Tolar Church of Christ Fellowship Hall in Tolar.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner at the Paluxy Tabernacle was hosted by Ricky and Texie Hughes.

The bride is a graduate of Tolar High School and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tarleton State University. She is employed as an armed security officer with Securitas at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant.

The groom is a graduate of Stephenville High School. He is employed as a diesel mechanic with Texstar in Stephenville.

Following a wedding trip to Gruene, Port Aransas and San Antonio, the couple will reside in Stephenville.
