Potential baby sitters will gain important information and confidence on the job with skills learned at the Safe Sitter class sponsored by Lake Granbury Medical Center.
Safe Sitter is open to children between the ages of 11-16 and equips them with the knowledge to handle situations on the job.
The Safe Sitter class covers the following topics:
How, why, and where injuries happen so they can prevent them.
How to decide the seriousness of a problem and if someone is injured.
How to get help in different situations.
How to keep safe while babysitting.
How to care for children of all ages.
How to prevent problem behavior.
How to rescue a child or infant who is choking.
How to run a successful babysitting business.
The next Safe Sitter class will be Monday, Aug. 12. The class will be presented at 1321 Water’s Edge Drive, Suite 1001. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and class runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
