The City of Granbury’s Langdon Center opens the nationally- recognized Rio Brazos Art Exhibition, one of North Texas’ most prestigious juried art events April 14 with Devon Nowlin’s Juror Gallery Talk at 3 p.m. and public reception at 4 p.m.
The show features artwork by 50 artists throughout the United States with a strong showing from Texas and Cross Timbers Region artists.
“The Rio Brazos not only gives area residents and visitors the opportunity to view a tremendous art exhibit, but it is also a wonderful way to purchase art,” stated Rio Brazos Director Joel Back. “The juror really does select a viewer’s show. There is something for everyone’s art taste.”
Featured artists from Granbury include Sara Borden, Maryann Brummer, Jane Conkling, Robert Cook, Pam Fritz, Dana Gibson, Van Johnson, Collette Jones, Diana Littlejohn, Wendy Moore, Lynda Robinson, Marjorie Ross, Jackie Stengle, James Stewart, Elise Techentine, Kay Wirz, Colleen Zeiler and Rebecca Zook.
Artists with ties to Granbury include Jessie Back, Diana Davis Baker and Art Blevins.
The exhibition runs through April 28 in the Langdon Center Concert Hall at the corner of East Bridge and Brazos Streets in Granbury, just east of the square.
Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
