Christian Women’s Job Corps is a volunteer-run organization that provides women in need with an education in life and job skills as well as Christian values.

CWJC seeks to honor women who emulate Christian values while achieving success, those who have worked hard, overcoming obstacles or hardships to attain their goals, and women who are considered shining examples of community servants, leaders in their professions and/or organizations as well as role models for family and friends.

Opal Durant believed in helping women and children to achieve their dreams, particularly through education. She was a tireless community servant, a wise and talented businesswoman and the beloved matriarch of the Durant family.

CWJC honored Opal Durant by naming their Granbury Woman of the Year Award in her memory.
