The numbers are not yet complete, but it appears that the Mission Granbury Gala last Saturday exceeded the fundraising goal of $70,000.

“We had 230 attend,” Executive Director April Mitchell said of the gala held at the Pecan Plantation Clubhouse. “We would like to thank all that supported us.”

The program included musical entertainment, live auction, silent auction and testimonials.

Mission Granbury is a community based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1998. The agency provides care for those affected by the tragedies of domestic violence, abuse, and poverty.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit the programs at Mission Granbury, including the Ada Carey Shelter Center for Women and Children, Victims Assistance Resource Center, CASA (court appointed special advocates) Emergency Assistance Network (EAN), and Primary Prevention and outreach and education programs.
