Light Up The Blues to benefit Lake Pointe Resource Center

World-class dining and Texas blues music are planned for the Light Up The Blues Gala at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at The Waterview, 100 Watermark Blvd.

Proceeds benefit Lake Pointe Resource Center. The center provides services for families with autism and other students with special needs.

International Master Chef Wolfgang Weichert will be responsible for the dining experience at the benefit. He has served President Obama, Prince Phillip – the Duke of Edinburg and professional golfing’s elite at The Masters in Augusta, Ga.

The Michael Alexander Trio – collectively known as Jackson James – will entertain at the gala. The group is said the have “velvety smooth vocal harmonies, captivating acoustic melodies and stand-up bass rhythms.” The band’s sound combines classic country and Texas blues.

“They are really popular and have played at numerous events around the area,” said Lake Pointe Founder/President Madalyn Cano.

A silent auction is also included at the Light Up The Blues Gala.
