Jamboree helps fund Cancer Care

Live music, dinner and dancing are planned at the 8th annual County Spirit Jamboree Saturday, April 6. The benefit takes place at Reunion Grounds, 641 Reunion Court. ” Doors open at 6 p.m.

All funds raised at this event help cancer patients in Hood County through Cancer Care Services.

Music will be provided by B.T. Rhodes and Larry Harkins with The Cross Country Band. “Texas-sized” live and silent auctions are also included. Dinner includes authentic chuck wagon barbecue, “with one of the best deserts you will ever taste.”

Tickets are $25. A reserved table of 8 runs $150. Tickets are available at the Granbury Chamber of Commerce or by calling 817-408-5623 or 817-573-3775.

Cancer Care Services works to provide help and hope to cancer patients, survivors and their families and caregivers. Financial, emotional, spiritual and social programs, services and activities are provided.

Cancer Care Services has been providing cancer support services in Tarrant County continuously since its beginning as the Fort Worth Cancer Society in the summer of 1946.

In September 1998, Hood County residents began receiving services as well. All funding to provide services is raised locally.
