ORGANIZED FOR MAYOR PRATT

A fund has been established at First National Bank for the benefit of the family of Mayor Rickie Pratt.

Pratt is continuing his recovery from a recent stroke, and reportedly has moved to a rehabilitation center in the Metroplex.

You can make a donation to the Mayor Pratt fund at any First National Bank location.

A benefit yard and bake sale is planned from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at Celebration Hall on the square. Proceeds will benefit the mayor and his family. Donations will be accepted Feb. 20 at Celebration Hall.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S GROUP

OFFERS JOB TRAINING SESSION

Interviews are planned in the coming week for the 12-week program offered by the Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Applicants should call 817-573-6677 for an interview appointment.

The free program is designed to help participants gain self-worth and self-respect through lessons in personal discovery. Students receive counsel in career selection and money management skills.

The program also includes Bible study, computer classes, language arts, resume writing and interview techniques, nutrition and life skills.

The training session runs Monday – Friday from Feb. 4 – May 3. Classes are 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. – noon on Friday.
