YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL

MAKE THEM DYE THEIR HAIR

The Hood County Senior Center Champions program is up and running this year.

A $25 donation will help pay for a senior Meals on Wheels for one week. The goal for the program is to raise $7,500 this holiday season or 300 champions (300 weeks of meals.)

Meals on Wheels Coordinator Jada Wilson and Client Coordinator Jennifer Roy have both agreed to dye their hair red for the champions if the goal is met.

PRODUCE SALE TUESDAY

AT RUTH’S PLACE IN OTS

Healthy People in Healthy Communities will present a produce sale Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Ruth’s Place Community Center in Oak Trail Shores from 3-5:30 p.m. Each produce bag will contain over 20 pieces of fruit and vegetables for $5. Cash only.

This is open to any community member as efforts are increasing to make fresh fruits and vegetables more affordable and accessible. Funding for this program is through Transforming Texas (TT): Healthy People in Healthy Communities grant.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OPEN

DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK

The Boys and Girls Club of Hood County will have “Merry Christmas Camp” Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2-4 from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The program at Decker Gym will include Wii tournaments, games, arts and crafts and daily competitions. The fee is $10 per day or $50 for all six days paid in advance. Membership is required and can be purchased for $10.
