Group meetings help those dealing with grief

January 26, 2013

Starting a New Life will begin its winter session Tuesday. This is the 16th year for this grief support group that ministers to people of Hood County with facilitators that all have experienced a significant loss.

“This group helps people who have lost a loved one, a spouse, a parent, a sibling, a child through death, or the loss of a relationship through divorce or separation,” said spokesman Bill Brewer. “ Last fall, we had the largest turnout ever attend our session.”

This non-denominational grief support group meets on Tuesday evenings from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Education Building of St. Frances Cabrini Church. If you or someone you know is having a hard time dealing with a loss, consider attending or bring them to this grief support group.
