People were stacked 8-10 deep to view the annual Fourth of July parade Thursday morning around the square.

Officials with the Granbury Chamber of Commerce were pleased with the crowd, and estimated that 20,000 to 30,000 people were on hand for the festive parade.

Award winners include the following:

Best Livestock – Triple Cross Cowboy Church.

Best Walking/Marching – Cowboy Capitol Rollergirls.

Grand Marshal’s Choice – American Legion Post 491

Best Community – Hood County Crime Stoppers.

Best Commercial – Fort Worth Beauty School.

Best of Parade – Mission Hospice.

Best Float – Iglesia Cristiano Vino Nuevo.

After the parade, folks checked out vendor booths on the square.

A ranch rodeo preceded the fireworks show Thursday night. With the low lake level, boaters did not pack the lake to view the show. Instead, many viewed the fireworks from alongside roadways and parking lots.
