Bula Click celebrated her 100th birthday at Granbury Care Center on Friday, April 12, 2013.
Her secret to longevity? “If you don’t use it, you lose it. And always work hard.”
Bula and Olen Click Sr. were married on Christmas Eve in 1931. He passed away 1981.
The Clicks are from Godley, where she and her husband had the first brick house in town.
She has three children: Gail Coppenger, Jay Click and Damon Click; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
As a stay-at-home mom, Click also worked to plow the fields with her husband. She loves crafts and fixing things.
Like the Energizer Bunny, Click keeps going. In fact, on the day that her great-granddaughter was born, Click was out nailing down shingles on her older sister’s roof. She was 79 at the time.
“The most amazing characteristic of Mom is her servant heart,” said her daughter Gail Coppenger.
