Lenten services planned
at Emmanuel Lutheran
Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2301 Fall Creek Highway, will hold Wednesday Lenten Services with soup supper at 6 p.m. followed by worship at 7. The Lenten services are Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 6, March 13 and March 20. For more information call 817-326-2201.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
SET FRIDAY, MARCH 1
Each year the first Friday in March is dedicated for World Day of Prayer. This year the service will be held at First Christian Church of Granbury, Disciples of Christ, 2109 W. Highway 377.
Disciples Women are hosting the service at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year, and who, in many countries have a continuing relationship in prayer and service.
It is a movement initiated and carried out by women in more than 170 countries and regions.
The program brings together women of various races, cultures and traditions in closer fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year.
Through World Day of Prayer, women affirm that prayer and action are inseparable and that both have immeasurable influence in the world.
The motto of the World Day of Prayer is, “Informed Prayer and Prayerful action.”

LAKE GRANBURY MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE MEETS FEB. 20
The monthly luncheon for Lake Granbury Ministerial Alliance is at noon Wednesday at Trinity Mission. The February program is a presentation on the book, “Against the Wind,” written by J. Don George.
