The Chuck Wagon Gang will be in concert at Bluff Dale Baptist Church on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

It’s said that the latest recording by The Chuck Wagon Gang, “The Best Is Yet To Be,” remains true to their famed tradition of old favorites, yet freshness comes out in several new songs.

“The Chuck Wagon Gang is committed to preserving the integrity of the its great legacy by continuing the simple style that Dad Carter established nearly 75 years ago,” according to the Chuck Wagon Gang spokesman.

FIFTH ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY EVENT PLANNED FEB. 23

American Idol performer George Huff joins several other musical artists for the fifth annual Black History Celebration sponsored by the Lake Granbury Ministerial Alliance.

The program is at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Lakeside Baptist Church, 500 W. Bluebonnet.

Grammy and Dove award winning singer/songwriter Bishop Gary Oliver and singer/songwriter Taylor Pace will also perform.

Opera singer and Emmy nominee Audra Scott along with singer/songwriter and Dove nominee Shake Anderson will also perform.

Senator Brian Birdwell (R-Granbury) is also on the program.
