Amy Phillips admires an elaborately decorated tree skirt while attending the recent Granbury Newcomers Club Pay-it-Forward Luncheon event. Members first gathered at the home of Neva Sundvahl-Cruz where every Christmas decoration was either handmade by her mom or was from her mother’s collection. Entrance was one child’s toy and about 100 toys were collected. Members also contributed over 1,000 pounds of food for a local food bank. The final stop for dessert was at the Nut House where members made monetary donations to a local charity. A trio from Granbury Opera House provided Christmas music to make the season bright.
