‘Bite An Elephant’ speaker at Healthy Woman Saturday

Dream big and take action. That’s the message Elizabeth Dixon will project as she speaks at the Healthy Woman anniversary event Saturday.

Dixon, wellness director for Chick-fil-A, started the “Bite An Elephant” company last year.

It’s been said that the best way to eat an elephant is “one bite at a time.” And that is the inspiration for Dixon.

“So often when pursuing a dream, it seems the greatest challenge is to take action every day,” Dixon explained by telephone Monday as she walked on a trail at the Chick-fil-a corporate campus in Atlanta, Ga.

“I see people dreaming dreams, but they never move forward. They don’t take the steps,” she said.

Whether starting a new business, improving your health, getting out of debt or working on a relationship, people can take small steps each day, according to Dixon.

“I want to help people figure out what steps to take next.”

Dixon said her talk Saturday, 10 Obstacles for Abundant Living, is geared for women in all phases of their life.

Whether career women, full-time moms or retired ladies – Dixon hopes to inspire everyone to dream their dreams, “and chase them.”

The seventh anniversary celebration for Healthy Woman is at Granbury High School. Activities begin at 10 Saturday morning and run through 2 p.m.

A free shopping and vendor expo, with more than 60 vendors, is from 10 to noon at the high school.

Winners do not have to be present.
