Plant garden friends

March 16, 2013

The Lake Granbury Master Gardeners (LGMG) will host a program Monday about using the age-old technique of companion planting.

Horticulturist Janet Riley from Fort Worth will lead the program that begins at 6:30 p.m. in Annex I, 1410 W. Pearl St.

Participants will learn about placement of plants for better health, crop production and improved taste. They will also learn why companion planting helps to deter pests and disease.

The program is a part of the 2013 LGMG Continuing Education Series. The fee for participating is $15. Space is limited.

For reservations, contact the Texas AgriLife Extension in Hood County by phone: 817-579-3280, fax: 817-408-2533 or email: [email protected]
