Eden Grove owner Emory Richey of Bluff Dale will talk about the practice of food foresting at the monthly meeting of the Lake Granbury Master Gardeners Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Annex I, 1410 W. Pearl St.

Eden Grove, the vision of Emory and Stephanie Richey, is being transitioned from a mono-crop pasture of coastal Bermuda grass into a diverse poly-culture food forest.

A food forest is a self-sustaining ecosystem designed to provide food and fiber. In his presentation, Richey will discuss the benefits of a food forest including soil and water retention.

The public is invited to attend at no charge. For more information call 817-579-3280.
