I believe I can get to Arlington, Texas.
I know, I know. It’s out of my comfort zone (are the turnpike booths still east of Fort Worth?), but I just can’t say no to the generous offer I received this week.
“Would you like two tickets to the Cowboys game Sunday night? Plus a parking pass?”
“Yes, I believe that would be fine.”
Son, who knows me well, said, “I didn’t think YOU paid for those tickets.”
Nope, it’s called networking.
The last time I went to see a Cowboys game was … well … last year. Another generous offer.
But before that, it was way back. Probably the ’80s.
Almost everybody wants to see Jerry’s The Thing From Another Planet.
She’s been commenting, “Maybe we can go see a high school or small-college game there.”
Or John Deere pulls.
I hate to disappoint you dear, but you’ll have to settle for the Cowboys and Giants … NFL Sunday Night Football … Opening Weekend …
Now if we can find our seats.
