Tolar choir visits university choir

November 2, 2013

Tolar’s fifth-grade choir visited Tarleton State University on a field trip last month. They were invited to listen to a rehearsal of the Tarleton Chamber Choir.

The college choir also sang a song with the fifth-grade choir.

The field trip also included visiting the Foster’s Children’s Home in Stephenville. The students were welcomed by director Glen Newberry, who gave them a tour of the facilities as well as an informative presentation of what the home offers to children in foster care. The students washed 12 vans for the home as a service project for the home.

Choir teachers are: Kim McAusland, Lisa Ives, Katie Wilkins, Lisa Harkins and Kathy Higginbottom.
