Tyler Titus, a graduate of the Granbury High School Class of 2013, will be joining his older brother Hunter Titus at the Merchant Marine Academy.

Later this year, Tyler will begin his studies at the academy located in King’s Point, N.Y.

Hunter is a midshipman having completed one year at the academy. The older Titus is a 2011 GHS graduate.

The federal service academy educates and graduates licensed Merchant Marine officers of exemplary character who serve America’s marine transportation and defense needs in peace and war.

Known for its rigorous academic program, USMMA requires more credit hours for a baccalaureate degree than any other federal service academy. This challenging coursework is augmented by the academy’s sea year experience, which affords midshipmen the opportunity to acquire hands-on, real-world experiences aboard working commercial vessels.
