October 20, 2012

The district will hold a summit on Monday, Oct. 29, to receive input from parents and the public.

Attendees have a choice of two meeting times that day:

10 a.m. – noon at the GISD Bridge Street Conference Center (old cafeteria building located behind the administration annex at 600 W. Bridge St.).

7-9 p.m. at the Granbury High School cafeteria.

The strategic planning will establish district goals in areas such as academics, extracurricular programs, technology and facilities.

In November, small group meetings will be convened with parents, community members, students, teachers and staff.

Following the collection of all data and input, a strategic design team will be appointed to construct specific strategic goals and action steps.

The final proposal is expected to be presented to the school board in May 2013.

The G2020 logo was designed by Derek Beck, a graphic design student at Granbury High School.
