Honors/Awards: All American cheerleader. Received a rating of 1 at choir regional solo/ensemble and advanced to state. Regional level on swim team as a freshman, first in district history fair and third at regional level. Treasurer of French honor society. A-B honor roll.

Extracurricular: Choir, manager for the varsity basketball team. Swim. National Honor Society, Key Club, musical, performed in Carnegie Hall and at the Vatican.

Community: Donated blood with Carter Blood Care, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life Blitz Day, paint for a local school, Tunes for Tots and Christmas for Children. Sang and took blood pressure at the Healthy Women’s Convention.

Religious: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, crew leader at Vacation Bible School and member at Lakeside Baptist youth group.

Future: Attend Texas Christian University and major in nursing.

Benjamin Reid

Extracurricular: Key Club, National Honor Society, Student Council and WIT “Workforce Industry Training” program. Also served as an intern for The Dennis Poulan Educational Foundation as a prospective future engineer. Participated in Toons for Tots, Relay for Life, Blitz Day, Carter Blood Drive and the FCA. As a member of the GHS Choir he performed at Carnegie Hall. Swim team, soccer team and ran cross country and track.

Community: Routinely spends time assisting his Nana who has Alzheimer’s, plays cards at Waterview retirement center and helps an elderly man in his neighborhood.

Religious: Attends Exalted Redeemer Baptist Church.

Employment: Throughout high school worked at various jobs including his own lawn service and installing car stereo systems. Also worked for The Inn on Lake Granbury and Spring Creek BBQ. Currently working at a local farm.

Future: Attend Texas Tech with plans to major in electrical engineering.
