New secretaries hired

February 2, 2013

Four new secretaries are helping district and campus administration in the Granbury school district.

In the district administration building, Sandy Bruner became the administrative assistant to Superintendent James Largent. In this role, she also provides support and assistance to the school board.

Having previously worked for assistant superintendents Carol Howard and Jan Van Dorn, Bruner was no stranger to the district administration. Her promotion came in December, when longtime secretary Carola Bradley retired.

Following Bruner in the assistant superintendent’s office is newcomer Faith Barnes, who previously worked as a paralegal in the Fort Worth area.

Campus secretaries within the school district have also shifted recently.

Joining Granbury High School is Cynthia Hawkins, who brings numerous years of campus secretarial experience from the Fort Bend school district. Receiving a promotion at Brawner Intermediate School is office clerk Jenny Salazar.

Hawkins and Salazar respectively replace Karen Harden and Rachelle Sandel.

Harden and Sandel both recently departed to pursue other employment opportunities.
