Granbury school students have participated in a nationwide mock election on the U.S. presidential race called “Every Kid Votes.”

The mock election gives students an opportunity to learn about the political process just as Hood County voters are deciding between current presidential contenders and other national, state and local candidates.

The mock election is sponsored by American Legacy Publishing and the Studies Weekly publication. Millions of elementary school students around the country participated. Additional information and results are available at www.studiesweekly.com/vote.

According to the publisher, the nation’s schoolchildren accurately predicted that George W. Bush would win re-election in 2004 and that Barack Obama would be victorious in 2008.
