Financial literacy learning


Students in a banking and financial services class at Granbury High School recently completed a financial literacy program. Utilizing an online financial literacy program, students covered material on nine topics: savings; banking; payment, interest rates and credit cards; credit score; financing higher education; renting vs. owning; taxes and insurance; consumer fraud; and investing. “Prosperity Bank makes it possible for us to have access to this program through their funding,” commented GHS teacher Tammy Bodine. Students in the class are: Izamal Aguado, Jack Allison, Dylan Brockman, Cristian Gamez, Danya Gonnella, Jimmy Hodges, Shelby Maverick, Joseph McLean, Robert Norris, Christopher Richardson, Amber Robles, Kristian Samaniego, Luke Sandelin, Justin Sargeant, Chloe Scroggins, Jeff Shanahan, Kelci Slaughter, Carolyn Trunk, Ashlin Weaver, Kolby West and Emily Winters.
