Everyone was a winner at reunion grounds

The sights and squeals from last week’s 58th Hood County Junior Livestock Show carved a lasting memory for 4-H and FFA youngsters.
Dozens and dozens of youth and their animals – rabbits, chickens, lambs, goats, pig, heifers and steers – descended on the Granbury Reunion Grounds.
There were trophy winners and those out of the running – and everything in between.
Not to be dejected, reminded goat judge Jimmy Key.
“Regardless where you place today,” he told the young exhibitors, “don’t get discouraged. It’s just my opinion. Keep working, and keep showing.”
Winning words for all the youngsters.
Because, after all, everyone was a winner.
