Sharay Boynton, executive director of finance for Granbury ISD, has announced her departure effective at the end of the 2013-14 school year.
“I appreciate the friendships that I have established and opportunities that I have had over the past 22 years serving Granbury ISD students, staff and community,” Boynton said. “I am proud of the part that I have played in the financial well-being of the district. I look forward to what the future holds for both GISD and myself.”
A Granbury native and Granbury High School graduate, Boynton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Tarleton State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned the designation of Registered Texas School Business Administrator from the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).
Boynton has been active with TASBO and has also served as a trustee and treasurer of the Texas Association of Public School’s Property and Liability Fund.
“We appreciate Sharay’s service to Granbury schoolchildren for the last 22 years,” commented GISD superintendent Dr. James Largent. “Sharay is well respected, and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.”
