Well, it’s time for another school year to begin. With the new construction of the elementary building, we will have limited parking, and the flow of traffic may be slow for a few days. Parents may want to arrive a little early the first few days with the Jr. High and Elementary students.

Based on our pre-registration numbers we anticipate increasing our enrollment by up to 40 students. All the growth is in the Elementary and Jr. High. The high school numbers will be down a few students.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 26;

school hours are:

Elementary 8:05 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.

Jr. High 7:55 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.

High School 7:55 a.m. – 3:35 p.m.

A few changes of note:

We have hired several employees this summer and 5 of our new hires are Tolar graduates. We have two new principals, with Lindsay Morgan the new Jr. High principal, and Kristen Carey our new Elementary principal.

I look forward to another great school year. I am very impressed with our campus administrators and their faculties and staffs. We are so blessed to have such top notch individuals teaching and taking care of our students. It looks like a great year to be a Rattler.

Wow the time has flown, but everyone at Lipan ISD is looking forward to the new school year! I am particularly excited that ALL construction is complete at Lipan ISD. Students, faculty, staff, and the Lipan community will be able to enjoy the newly completed Ag Barn, in addition to the gymnasium and recently completed Elementary.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 26; school hours are:

7:55 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.

The L5 Ace afterschool program will begin Monday, Aug. 26 immediately after the regular school day.

A few changes of note:

Changes coming to Lipan ISD this year include new release procedures for our students at the end of the day. Buses will now load on Osage Street between the High School Campus and the Cafeteria. Parents who will be picking up students will need to line up on Sam Tipton Street by the new elementary and exit on Kickapoo Street.

We had a great summer of planning, with over 70 teachers going through training on project based learning. Summer projects went well with new HVAC, lighting and water fixtures at all campuses, and our grounds and buildings are ready to go. Early indications are that we will see an increase in students this year. It is an exciting time to be a part of Granbury ISD, and we look forward to another great school year.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 26; school hours are:

Granbury High School, 8:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. (Zero Period, 7:41-8:35 a.m.)

Crossland Ninth Grade Center, 8:45 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.

Acton Middle School, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Granbury Middle School, 8:35 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.

Elementary Schools, 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

STARS Accelerated High School, 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and Noon-4 p.m.

A few changes of note:

There will early dismissal on the last day of each six weeks grading period: 11:45 a.m. for grades PK-5 and 1 p.m. for grades 6-12. STARS Accelerated High School is in a new location behind Decker Gym. The new location will hopefully be more central for students with proximity to the Weatherford College Education Center at Granbury.
