County to recognize two local youngsters for helping injured nephew

Will Flower, 13, and his sister Grace Flower, 8, will be presented with “certificates of recognition” for quick thinking in assisting their nephew, Rylyn Jones, 7, after he suffered burns in an accident June 16, Hood County Fire Marshal Ray Wilson announced. The two will be cited Tuesday morning during the regularly scheduled Commissioners Court meeting. Jones fell into a still-sizzling controlled burn pit that had been in use the day before.
