Mark Jackson (left), with First Financial Bank, recently presented a check for $15,000 to John Quilty, board president for Habitat for Humanity of Hood County. The money was raised through a joint effort with five other member banks of the Texas Bankers’ Association from across the state during the month of July. The banks held various fundraisers such as raffles, bake sales and “jean days” with their employees. Habitat has been working to restore and rebuild homes that were hit by the May 15 tornado in Rancho Brazos.
