State Comptroller Susan Combs is reporting state sales tax revenue in December was $2.17 billion, up 9.4 percent compared to December 2011.
Granbury continues an upward trend, while the county collections dropped slightly.
“Strong sales tax collections continue in most major economic sectors in Texas,” said Combs. “The strongest growth was from business spending-driven sectors including oil and natural gas, manufacturing and construction.”
Combs will be sending January sales tax allocations totaling $530.8 million, up 7.3 percent compared to January 2012.
