Donations to Habitat are matched by bank

December 15, 2012

The Community Bank matching campaign for Habitat for Humanity of Hood County is under way.

“It is our privilege to help Habitat of Humanity of Hood County’s mission for needy families to obtain good homes and a better quality of life,” Carey Gentry, president of Community Bank in Granbury announced.

“We have had a wonderful relationship with the local Habitat affiliate since its inception and believe in Habitat’s values. This is our 16th year with the program.”

When you donate to Habitat now through Jan. 31, 2013, Community Bank will match your gift dollar-for-dollar up to $1,500. Some limitations apply. Contact bank for details.

Habitat for Humanity of Hood County (Habitat) was officially established in 1996.

With the generosity of churches, individuals, businesses, and faithful volunteers through labor and donations of money, materials, and services, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families.

Hood County’s affiliate is an independent, locally run, all-volunteer, nonprofit organization. It coordinates all aspects of Habitat building in the county, including site selection, partner family selection and support, house construction, mortgage servicing, accounting and fund raising.

Community Bank owns and operates Texas branches in Granbury, Acton, and other locations in the Metroplex.
