Texas Comptroller Susan Combs will send October sales tax allocations totaling $579.8 million to cities, counties and special tax districts. This is up 5.2 percent compared to October 2012.

Granbury was up one percent compared to the same month last year.

Hood Count was down 17 percent for the same period.

The sales tax figures represent monthly sales made in August.

“State sales tax revenue collections continued to grow at a moderate pace,” Combs said.

She said that growth was led by collections from the construction, telecommunications and retail sectors.

“State sales tax revenue has now increased for 42 consecutive months,” Combs noted.
