BOOK AND GIFT SHOP

‘HOLY GROUND’ NOW OPEN

The Church at Granbury has opened to the public its Holy Ground Book and Gift Shop, located in its building at 4900 Sonterra Court, one mile up Smokey Hill Court.

Church Administrator Linda Watkins said the shop would be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

“All profits from the store go to our various church ministries…and for benevolence,” she said. “We have a large range of cards and gifts, and carry artwork, candles and jewelry crafted by Christian artisans from throughout this area. Our goal is to provide unique items that are difficult, if not impossible, to find in other area stores.”

Watkins said the shop had a small supply of Bibles and Christian books now, but expects a dramatic increase in both Bibles and titles following the Christmas holidays.

“Many people in the community don’t have the time or inclination to drive to Fort Worth to purchase a Bible or Christian book,” she said, “so we hope to make those trips unnecessary.”

Watkins said the church would welcome book clubs and writer groups that would like to meet in the congregation’s facility.

MORE THAN 500 BABIES

BORN AT LGMC HOSPITAL

Director of Women’s Services Rebekah Butler, R.N.C., reports 513 babies were born at Lake Granbury Medical Center in 2012.

“Based on childbirth class attendance, we already anticipate a strong start to the New Year. Our team strives to make expectant parents’ childbirth experience an even more cherished lifetime event,” Butler said.

“Advanced medical care, experienced physicians and OB-trained nursing staff help expectant parents from Granbury and surrounding communities learn about pregnancy, childbirth, and infant care in a relaxed and family-friendly environment,” Butler reports.

LGMC’s OB program, Tiny Toes, is an exclusive program offered by the hospital. Tiny Toes combines education and an introduction to the hospital’s Women’s Service department and trained obstetrics medical staff before delivery.

Tiny Toes provides a comprehensive health care resource for growing families. Mothers-to-be access to a variety of exclusive services, educational information, complimentary birthing classes, and special keepsakes to commemorate the occasion.

Best of all, membership in the Tiny Toes program is free.

Enrollment is simple, just visit www.GranburyBabies.com and click on Tiny Toes to learn more about the program.
